Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas,
Texas, to Gayle (Gaston) she was a national director at Mary Kay, and Freddie
Wright who was a pharmaceutical executive. She was born and raised in San
Diego. She began her career as a model at the age of 14, and also worked in
Paris as well as Japan. She chose to become an actress after she graduated high
school. She was cast on the soap show Santa Barbara (1984), for which she was
nominated three times for a Daytime Emmy. During the first season of the show
she became a fan of fellow cast member Dane Witherspoon, whom she got married
in 1986. In 1987, she was the title role in The Princess Bride. After leaving
Santa Barbara, she was offered the lead in Denial (1990) as well as Jason
Patric. She was also in State of Grace (1990) and became acquainted with Sean
Penn. They had one daughter Dylan Frances and a son Hopper Jack. Robin returned
to Hollywood with Tara in one of the most important roles in her career after
taking breaks. She was a stunning actor and an amazing performer. Next, she was
in Toys (1992) together alongside Robin Williams. She gave an entertaining
performance. In 1994, Wright was in the blockbuster hit Forrest Gump (1994),
along with Tom Hanks. For her performance as Jenny, she got nominated for a
Golden Globe Award. She was given a minor role in The Crossing Guard (1995) in
which she starred Jack Nicholson. After declining 14 roles she was cast in the
title role in MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996), directed by Pen Densham, and
co-starring Morgan Freeman and Stockard Channing. Later, she appeared in Erin
Dignam's Loved (1997) along with William Hurt.
