Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos, a Canadian actress from Canada. She was the Teletoon children's series Majority Rules' Becky Richards. From 2009 until 2010 she was the lead character Becky Richards in the Teletoon Children's Comedy series Majority Rules! In the following year, she was a part of Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson on the NBC post-apocalyptic series of science fiction Revolution from 2012-2014, on which she was nominated for from 2009-2010 for a Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. She also starred as Annika Johnson in the A&E television drama Bates Motel. Since the year 2017, Spiridakos is a regular on the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. as Detective Hailey Upton, Spiridakos is the lead character. Spiridakos was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba by George Spiridakos and Anastasia Spiridakos, Greek-born restaurant owners. She has two brothers. After she was born, her family moved to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She strongly feels linked to her Greek heritageand is fluent in Greek. Spiridakos started acting at the age of junior high school and trained at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos moved to Vancouver in 2007 to pursue acting. She got her first TV gig within a matter of weeks, a minor part on Supernatural. She continued to work on television as a walk-on in Bionic Woman's The L Word, Hellcats, Psych and other shows. Spiridakos was featured in the TV movie Goblin and also in the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Also, she was a regular on Being Human, as Brynn McLean, the werewolf. In 2009, the actress was awarded her first role as a starring character in Majority Rules! Canada, where she played 15-year old Becky Richards. In 2011, she made her debut as a feature film with Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She also produced Kill for Me, a low-budget horror film by Michael Greenspan, which starred Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy and directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags the movie, an Nickelodeon original movie. The role of Charlotte Matheson, a survivalist living in a post-apocalyptic future civilization, was her main character in the NBC TV show Revolution. As she attended her first pilot season, she was a candidate for the role. Spiridakos shot her pilot in Atlanta. The pilot season was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. Her performance on the initial season of the show nominated for a Saturn Award as Best Actress on Television. She was, however, a loser to Anna Torv from Fringe's. The second season of the show was produced in Austin, Texas.
