Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actress from the US. She is most well-known for her appearances on American daytime TV, guests on shows that are episodic and made-for-television movies. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the soap opera General Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role in the CBS soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor as well as Martin Sofer, a Conservative Rabbi. The family later moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until when, following the divorce of her parentsSofer moved with her brother and father David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. The family was based in Ambridge Pennsylvania where their father was director of the Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She later attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer lived in North Bergen, New Jersey which was where her father served as Rabbi of the synagogue Temple Beth El. After having graduated from North Bergen High School in 1998, she pursued her studies at Montclair State College. Sofer was Lois Marie Cerullo for the first time on General Hospital. Her first appearance came in 1993, as a manager of a band. Her first major role was as Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap series Loving (1988-91). Sofer is perhaps most well-known for her performance as Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 - September 24 1996). Later she returned to the show as a guest star (February 7 1997 to September 30, 1997 October 2, 1997 October 2nd, 1997). In 1995, Sofer won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series for her performance in the role of Lois.
