Rosamund Pike

Born in London, England in 1979, Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was the only child of Caroline (Friend) who was a classical violinist mom, as well as Julian Pike, an opera singer father. Because of her parents' jobs, she spent her childhood touring around Europe. Pike was born in Bristol and went to Badminton School. She then started acting at National Youth Theatre. Pike first made an appearance in a National Youth Theatre production "Romeo and Juliet". She was signed by an agent following being spotted. Pike also began acting at the National Youth Theatre. The film she made her debut in was a huge-budget action thriller. However, her subsequent film work was mostly independent films like Promised Land (2004) and The Libertine (2004). For which she was awarded the Best Supporting Actress prize at The British Independent Film Awards. Pride & Prejudice (2005) was a film that featured Pike as one of the Bennet girls. Following the action film Doom (2006) and the suspense film Fracture (2007), Pike was briefly a part of Hollywood film. In the end, she returned to films of a smaller scale and starred in some impressive performance in three movies: An Education (2008), Dagenham (2010), and Dagenham (2010) and the lead role with Paul Giamatti in Barney's Version (2010). In 2012, Pike portrayed the role of Andromeda in the sci-fi epic Wrath of the Titans (2012). She returned to action films with her female lead in the film Jack Reacher (2012). Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher (2012).
