Magda Apanowicz
Magda Apanowicz is a Canadian actor from Canada. Her most well-known roles include her role as Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand in the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) on the science fiction television series Continuum. In the past, she played Sandy in the Netflix thriller series You. Apanowicz is from Polish descent and spent an entire year in Poland in the 9th grade. She was raised by her uncle and was a student at Jelenia Gora School. In the following years, she attended Vancouver Film School. The brother of her introduced her to Pulp Fiction at the age 10, and she became fascinated by acting. She started her acting career in 2002 with brief appearances on the TV series Jeremiah and John Doe.From 2007 until 2009 she was the character as Andy Jensen on Kyle XY. She was a part of Every Second Counts, a Hallmark Channel original film in 2008. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Lacy Rand (a regular of the series) in the television drama Caprica featuring Eric Stoltz, Alessandra Torresani. Later, she appeared on Hellcats. In 2012, she was cast in the role of Emily in Jane Espenson's second season on her romantic comedy web series Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz also played the character of Samantha in The Green Inferno, an Eli Roth horror film. The Green Inferno, although it was made in 2012, was released globally in the year 2015. Apanowicz was cast to as Angela in Volition, a science fiction thriller film.
