Amanda Peet Biography

Amanda Peet was born January 11 in 1972. Her acting career began with small TV roles. Her debut in feature films in the film Animal Room (1995). Her first recognition came from her role in the role of Jill St. Claire on The Whole Nine Yards (2000). Since her appearance, she has been in several films that include Identity (2003), Identity (2003), Melinda and Melinda (2004), A Lot Like Love (2005), Syriana (2005), The X-Files (2009), Please Give (2010) Gulliver's Journeys (2010), The Way, Way Back (2013), as well as Identity Thief (2013). Peet was a TV star as Jacqueline Barrett (1999-2001), Tina Morris (2015-2016), Jules (2016-2020) and Betty Broderick (2020). Peet was the daughter of Penny (nee Levy), Social worker, and Charles Peet Jr. a corporate lawyer. The couple later divorced. Her father is a Quaker, as is her mother, who is Jewish. Both are atheists. Peet's maternal great grandparents were Samuel Levy (a lawyer, public official and businessman who was Manhattan Borough President) and Samuel Roxy Rothafel (a theatrical impresario as well as entrepreneur and theatrical impresario) and. After attending Hagen's class Peet was a candidate for acting classes. Peet was an instructor of Hagen for four years. She was in the off Broadway revival of Clifford Odets's Awake, Sing! Stephen Lang.
