Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, former chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and she was formerly an instructor of cooking. She is the host of her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark long, blonde hair with a bubbly personality, reveals simple techniques to master and reduces intimidation of restaurants dishes on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. The chef Burrell is also an experienced chef of New York City's best restaurants. Additionally, she has studied Italy's culinary tradition and the culture of Italy, along with the natural geography. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was inspired by food. The Culinary Institute of America was where she studied following her graduation with an English diploma and Communications diploma from Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute that I was a student in The Culinary Institute of America she states. I didn't have enough knowledge, couldn't achieve enough and couldn't push myself enough. Following graduation of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and chef Burrell took a full year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. During her time in Italy she was able to fully comprehend and appreciate the philosophies behind Italian cuisine and culture which left a lasting impact on her culinary viewpoint. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists children with obstacles. As a speaker, Burrell makes trips across the country to speak about her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne has stated throughout her culinary career she is incredibly fortunate to share with others what is essential to her.
