Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was born in Los Angeles,
California to Quincy Jones, a media producer and mogul, and Peggy Lipton,
Rashida is the younger sister of actress Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones. Kidada
Jones is her elder sibling. Five half-siblings are born through her father's
other relationships. Her father is African-American , and her mother is
Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant of immigrants from Russia and Latvia). Rashida
was raised in Reform Judaism. She was raised in Bel Air, Los Angeles,
California. Jones stated that Jones had mixed race parents who were not
acceptable to her in the 1970s. Jones has made her professional acting debut on
The Last Don, a mini-series from 1997 based upon the novel written by Mario
Puzo. Also in 1997, Rashida graduated from Harvard University. The school she
attended was the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, California. Voted Most Likely

Kidada and Rashida were produced by Quincy Jones III, the brother of Quincy
Jones III. Quincy Jones III was also present during the introduction and
recited the lines from the poem by Shakur "Starry Night." Shakur's
poem is the source for the song's title. Rashida's father was African-American
and also has smaller amounts of English, Scottish, and Welsh and Scottish
family ancestry (some of his African family members were descendants of the
Tikar people from Cameroon). Rashida's mother, Ashkenazi Jewish (of Russian
Jewish heritage as well as Latvian Jewish heritage), is Rashida. Her maternal
grandparents, who both came from South Carolina, and Mississippi and
Mississippi, were the paternal grandparents of her father. Her maternal
grandfather was born in New York, and her maternal grandmother was born in
Dublin, Ireland, of Eastern European Jewish origin. At the end 2009, she was
playing three distinct characters as "Karen", on the classic TV
sitcoms Freaks and Geeks (1999), Stella ((2005) and The Office ((2005)).
