Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter was born on July 23 70 years ago. She played Cordelia Chase in the series of supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). Also, she was a part of Charmed (2004) as well as Kendall Casablanca's part in Veronica Mars (2006). Rebecca Sewell was in The Lying Game (2012)-2013. Lacy was the main character in The Expendables film franchise (2010)-2012. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the daughter of Christine Carpenter, the bird sanctuary's worker, and Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. She is of Spanish (from the maternal grandfather), French and German descent. Carpenter was a student at the Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. Carpenter was also a part of a song-and dance troupe which was a part of Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family relocated to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) at the age of Carpenter was 15 years old. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter was on a tour to Europe after she graduated. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store, working as an aerobics instructor, property management and as a cashier. She was a cheerleader with San Diego Chargers football in 1991. Her move to Los Angeles in 1992. In 1991, Henry Hubbard Jr. was a tyrant who attacked her and two of her male friends when they were swimming in San Diego. He was a former San Diego cop and serial rapist who attempted to subdue them using a gun. In the midst of the struggle that ensued, her companions and Hubbard were shotand forced Hubbard to flee the scene. Both friends were able to escape the assault. Hubbard was arrested, convicted, sentenced to 56 years in prison, for several assaults. Carpenter brought Hubbard his flashlight from the police station on the beach. He left it in the area. This flashlight would become an important piece of evidence against Hubbard.
