Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born May 12, 1972. She is most famous for her role as the attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she has been given the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Show, Miniseries, or Television Film. She also appeared on the NBC series Whitney (2011–2013) and ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash 2011–2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on May 12 1972. Her mother was an executive assistant to the United States Navy, while her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service; her family moved frequently throughout her early years, including Washington, D.C. and Arizona, as well as in Japan. She followed in the footsteps her grandmother and father by learning about architecture, painting and drawing from an early age. She continued to study the visual arts, but she also had a growing passion for acting and was introduced into contemporary theater in college. She earned her degree from George Mason University in 1994 with a degree in Studio Art. Seehorn, who was in college and was looking to enter theatre after being inspired by her acting teacher. She worked many ancillary positions within the industry of theater in D.C. to try to get noticed. She ended up getting some significant performances in local theater, but still needed for odd jobs in order to make ends meet; she took roles in various short instructional industrial films. Soon, she was able to land roles on television productions. Her roles were often that were "very humorous and sarcastic" like her role model Bea Arthur. But, the majority of these roles were short-run series that ended after two or three seasons. Seehorn was cast in Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler, a lawyer and the love-interest of the main Jimmy McGill/Saul G. Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
